PATTERSON, CA (July 27, 2023) – Tuesday afternoon, Jose Rivaspineda was hospitalized following a deadly head-on crash on Interstate 5. The collision occurred along the northbound Interstate 5, just south of Davis Road, between Stuhr Road and Fink Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a southbound Subaru SUV entered the center median for unknown reasons. Consequently, the Subaru overturned, causing it to drift onto the opposing lanes, colliding with a Peterbilt tractor-trailer. Responding emergency personnel declared the Subaru driver dead at the scene.
